Case Study: Grants Hub

Regional communities rely on grants for infrastructure, events, community development and capacity building. Searching through grants can be time-consuming, and a lack of resources or experience can make the process more difficult for all types of organisations, including small community groups, sporting groups, businesses and local governments. Subscription-based services can be costly.

We partnered with Regional Development Australia Wheatbelt to create a solution to develop the capacity of the Mid West and Gascoyne community and business community to easily identify, learn about, apply for and manage applications for federal, state and local government and non-government grants and associated funding programs.

This effort resulted in a website called the Grants Hub. The Grants Hub aims to enable members of our 63 regional communities to access information about available grants in a time-saving and effortless way. To achieve this, the Grants Hub website had to have relevant functionality that was quick and easy to use.

We have developed a resource that has:

  • Efficient searching using applicable criteria where a user can remain anonymous or create an account;

  • User accounts so grant information can be saved, shortlisted and prioritised;

  • Email alerts when a grant is released that matches saved criteria, when specific milestones are reached or updates are available;

  • Federal, state and local government opportunities, as well as non-government grants and funding programs; and

  • Up-to-date information

Visit the Grants Hub to see how user-friendly and efficient finding a grant can be.
