Industry Forum - Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Support Opportunities

Mid West businesses interested in supplying goods and/or services to the construction of the Square Kilometre Array are invited to attend this industry forum. 
There are currently four construction packages at tender stage and the forum will provide the opportunity to meet the Tier 1 companies that will be bidding on this work.  The SKA Observatory is committed to maximising local and Wajarri participation in the project wherever possible. Local companies are encouraged to come equipped with business cards and capability statements, ready to discuss how their business can deliver value in the construction stage of the project.

The four packages currently at tender stage are likely to offer the following Tier 2 & 3 opportunities:

• Construction Camp: site preparation, modular building construction, plumbing services, electrical services, water treatment/storage, waste collection, wastewater/sewerage treatment, landscaping, power, lighting, communications, furnishings, catering, cleaning, laundry, security services, equipment hire, accommodation management, facility management & maintenance (incl. buildings, infrastructure and grounds)
• Spatial: civil construction and material relating to access tracks and pad preparation, equipment hire,  fibre and power cable networks and assembly
• Buildings: site preparation, equipment hire, modular building construction, plumbing services, electrical services, metal fabrication, air-conditioning, water collection
• Main Access Road & Airstrip: supply of materials, equipment, labour and testing as well as clearing, grubbing, stripping, excavation, filling, compaction, trimming, drainage and various civil works
