More than $1.7 million across 7 Durack regional airports will benefit from grants under Round 2 of the Morrison Government’s Regional Airports Program.
Federal Member for Durack, the Hon. Melissa Price said the grants are vital to assist local regional communities maintain infrastructure and safety standards. Ms Price said, “These grants will fund projects like upgrading firefighting operations, expansion of helipads, runway fencing and the installation of solar lights, that will improve the safety of aircraft, operators and passengers, the delivery of goods and services and better meet the operational requirements of aeromedical and other emergency services across Durack.” For a full list of successful projects and more information on the Regional Airports Program, visit infrastructure.gov.au/regionalaviation.
